As you know we have been playing with, and evaluating the SPOT rescue beacon. This is an amazing piece of kit that needs to be included any time you head out into the world.
As we have reviewed this tool many individuals have commented that the SPOT, and its service plan have been cost prohibitive. For those of you who frequent the Experimental Aircraft Association's Air venture, that argument will no longer be valid. SPOT will be giving away beacons. Any EAA member who is willing to pay for one year's worth of service will receive a free unit. Check out the links, and reserve your unit for the show.
